Abbeville—Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Delores Ann McMellon, 63, who died Friday, May 11, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. McMellon was a great cook, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Heith Gaspard and wife, Sharon of Abbeville; stepson, Lance McMellon of Abbeville; mother, Evelyn Gaspard of Abbeville; brothers, Harold Gaspard and wife, Karen of Iowa, Minos Gaspard, Jr. and wife, Diana of Meaux, Jude Gaspard of Conroe, TX, and Chad Gaspard and wife, Elizabeth of Abbeville; sisters, Brenda Menard and husband, Chris of Maurice, Linda Adams and husband, Roy of Nunez, Loretta Richard and husband, Jonas of Lafayette, and Nikki Olsen and husband, David of Kansas City; grandchildren, Codi Gaspard, Dustin Broussard, Corey Vice and wife, Shantell, Dusty Singer, Kyle Singer and wife, Lacey, Katey Singer, Hanna McMellon and Holley Singer; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Bessard, Zsevon Bessard, Zaine Bessard, Zandon Bessard, Jordan Vice, Sage Vice, Hunter Vice, Cameron Singer, Logan Singer and Joel Singer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd McMellon, father, Minos Gaspard, Sr., sons, Duke McMellon and Luke McMellon; daughter, Debbie McMellon; and sister, Diana Richard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 2:00 p.m.
