Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2012 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mickey Plaisance, 72, who died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Petry, Jerrod Broussard, Tye Plaisance, Byron Plaisance, Lacei Plaisance, Nycole P. Wilmore, Cindy Cormier and Mandy Benoit.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ludring John Plaisance of Gueydan; three sons, Randy Plaisance of Gueydan, Steven Plaisance and his wife, Carol of Gueydan, and Robby Plaisance and his wife, Stacy of Gueydan; two daughters, Debbie and her husband, Gary Abshire of Iowa and Susan and her husband, Junior Lacombe of Gueydan; one sister, Brenda Fontenot of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac LaBauve and the former Beulah Beard; one brother, Golden LaBauve; and one sister, Jane Duplantis.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the procession departs for the church on Thursday, May 24, 2012. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
