Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at Briggs United Methodist Church honoring the life of Mary Mae Hardy, 85, who died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Briggs Cemetery with Reverend John Vining officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Rufus Hardy Jr. and Leo Paul Hardy both of Kaplan; two sisters, Marian and her husband James Smith of Baton Rouge, Mamie Louise Prudhomme of Kaplan; three sisters-in-law, Francis Hardy of Abbeville, Mary Johnnie of Ridge, Mary Faye Brooks of Lafayette; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Hardy Sr., parents, Paul Johnnie and the former Mamie Mouton, three brothers, Moses Johnnie Sr., David Johnnie and Warren Johnnie.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 5p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue June 08, at Briggs United Methodist Church, 13528 Community Road Abbeville, Louisiana 70510 from 9 a.m. until services.
