Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Yvonne Sonnier Broussard, 93, who died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Scott DesOrmeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Ravis Sonnier, Johnny Detraz, Cody Broussard, Tyler Borussard, Joey LeBouef and Blair LeBouef. Honorary pallbearers will be Remie Sonnier, Danny Nunez, Judge Durwood Conque, Ike Funderburk and Kenneth Schexneider.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Dale Nunez of Lafayette; sister, Mrs. Melvin (Rosabell) Clostio of Kaplan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo S. Broussard; parents, Remie Sonnier and the former Irene Marie Seaux; son, Richard Dale Broussard; and brothers, Harry Sonnier, Minus Sonnier, Saul Sonnier and Raul Sonnier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kaplan Healthcare Center and Eastridge Nursing Home for their loving care and attention. Also they would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ronald Lahasky, Dr. Howard Alleman, Dr. Myriam Hutchinson and Dr. Randall Faulk for their kindness, compassion and gentle care given to her at her time of need.
