Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Lloyd Gabriel "Sonny" Broussard Jr., 58, who died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by one son, Erik Prejean and his wife, Meredith of Kaplan; three daughters, Brandie "Bobo" and her husband, Chet Stelly, Kayla Broussard and her husband, David Suire of Opelousas, and Brooke Broussard and her husband, Mitch Meaux of Meaux; his mother, Velta Lege of Kaplan; three sisters, Susan LeMaire of Pensacola, Florida, Janice Little of Dover, Pennsylvania, and Mona Broussard; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Broussard Sr.; his godmother, Gussie Greene; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 9 a.m. until services. A rosary will be prayed at 11 a.m.
