John Wayne Armentor

June 21, 1938 — November 15, 2013

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of John Wayne Armentor, 75, who died Friday, November 15, 2013 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryan Baudoin, Kevin Baudoin, Gregory Aucoin, Alvin Primeaux, Frankie LeBouef and Daniel Nunez.


Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Thomas, Fabion Hebert, Paul Baudoin, Ryan Baudoin, Patrick Baudoin, Kyle Baudoin, Brady Broussard, Jerry Aucoin and Ben Burley.


Gift Bearers will be his granddaughters, Krystin and Caitlyn Hebert. Readers will be his goddaughter, Karla Primeaux and his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Baudoin. Eucharistic Minister will be his great niece, Maddie Baudoin. The rosary will be recited by Anna Faye Larriviere.


John Wayne proudly served his country from 1956-1959 in the United States Navy. He married the former Dolores Baudoin in 1961. He worked for Roy Young Construction, Teledyne Movible and Transocean. He retired in 1998. John Wayne made Cursillo 123.


He is survived by his wife, Dolores Baudoin Armentor; daugther, Kim Armentor Hebert and her husband Fabion; granddaughters, Krystin Hebert and Caitlyn Hebert.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Armentor Sr. and the former Blanche Delcambre; and brother, Lloyd (Jay) Armentor Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.;Monday November 18, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
