Zoie Leblanc Eleazar

July 29, 1922 — November 24, 2013

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Zoie LeBlanc Eleazar, 91, who died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Eastridge Nursing Center.


She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Brandon Broussard, Casey Broussard, Tucker Touchet, Logan Touchet, Kyle Orchard and Michael Orchard. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy LeBlanc, Farley Sarver, Jimmy Sarver and Eldres Abshire.


Her love for cooking and entertaining family and friends was well known; especially her delicious coconut tarts. One of her favorite extracurricular activities was playing "bouree'" with friends whom she cherished. Her favorite place to be was Holly Beach, where she spent every extra moment. Her motto in life which she lived by was "Joie de lavie".

She is survived by her two sons, Glenn Touchet and his wife Nancy of Kaplan, and Roddy Touchet of Meaux; three daughters, Brenda Pierce of Houston, TX, Patsy Broussard and her husband Steve of Delcambre, and Viv Touchet (Linda Robin) of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Kimberly Orchard, Brandon Broussard, Casey Broussard, Tucker Touchet and Logan Touchet; and six great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie LeBlanc and the former Elise Abshire; brother, Nolan LeBlanc; sister, Janet Sarver; and infant brother, Roy LeBlanc.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.


The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Acadiana and Eastridge Nursing Center for their constant care and concern during her illness.
