Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Shiloh Baptist Church honoring the life of Joseph Kerry Meaux, 54, who died Friday, November 29, 2013 at his residence. Pastor Ronald Cheatham will be officiating the services.

He is survived by his three sons, Leandro Fitzgerald Meaux of Kaplan, Emmanuel Joseph Meaux of Jennings, and Dexter Paul Plowden of Abbeville; one daughter, Nyetta Faye Meaux of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Royalyn Mouton, Michelle Meaux, and Rovyonne M. Meaux, all of Kansas City, KS; five brothers, Terry Meaux of Abbeville, Roderick K. Mouton Sr. of Kansas City, KS, Ebenezer James Mouton of Houston, TX, Curtis L. Mouton Sr. of Mouton Cove, and Royal I. Mouton of Kaplan; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Meaux Jr. and the former Lillian Mouton; one brother, Anthony K. Mouton; his grandson, DeOntaye Meaux; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and his brother-in-law, Brett Matthews.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Shiloh Baptist Church, 607 N. Guidry Avenue, on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 9 a.m. until services.
