She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brandon Trahan, Ryan Trahan, Grant Trahan, Eric Trahan, Cody Hebert, Hayden Ryder, Trey Ryder and godchild, Rusty Hebert. Lectors will be granddaughters, Katie Trahan and Shontelle Hebert. Giftbearers will be granddaughters, Courtney Cormier and Sara Trahan.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlene Hebert and her husband Albert, and Tammy Ryder and her husband Teryl; sons, Roddy Trahan and his wife Sheila, and Todd Trahan and his wife Kara; eleven grandchildren, Shontelle Hebert and her husband Jason, Cody Hebert and his wife Karinda, Courtney Cormier and her husband Mitchel, Brandon Trahan, Ryan Trahan, Grant Trahan, Katie Trahan, Eric Trahan and his wife Kayla, Sara Trahan, Hayden Ryder and Trey Ryder; six great grandchildren, Ethan Goutierrez, Kaius Hebert, Saul Hebert, Spence Hebert, Ahndi Hebert and Colton Hebert; brother, John O. Abshire; and three sisters, Beverly Hebert, Pearly Lege and Eula Mae Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oris R. Trahan; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eudor Abshire.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from noon until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, December 6, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession departs for the church.
