Steven Michael Broussard

Abbeville — Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Steven Michael Broussard , 63 , who died Monday , April 7, 2014 at The Guest House in Baton Rouge .

Steven was a 1969 graduate of Abbeville High School where he excelled in track as a distance runner. He was a radio disc jockey for KROF for over 10 years then later went on the road as a mobile disc jockey. He was an actor in the movie Belizaire the Cajun among other films.

He is survived by his brother, David Broussard and his wife, Sandra of Baton Rouge; aunt, Florence Broussard Thibodeaux; and numerous cousins .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Joseph Broussard and the former Dorothy Margaret Broussard .

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville , 209 S. St. Charles Street , on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
