Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Emedia Hebert Vincent, 94, who died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services. Jodi Bollich will provide the musicial selections.
Pallbearers will be Jody Landry, Boyd Landry, Gary Landry, Kyle Vincent, Travis Broussard and Tim Baudion.
She is survived by her son, Rayward Vincent and his wife Gerry; daughter, Janelle V. Landry; three brothers, Albert Hebert, Nolton Hebert, and Lawrence Hebert; seven grandchildren, Virgil Vincent and his wife Phyllis, Sonya V. Broussard, Leah V. Baudoin and her husband Mark, Kalynn L. Goss and her husband Kenny, Jody Landry and his wife Amy, Boyd Landry and his wife Cheryl and Gary Landry and his wife Shawri; eighteen great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Vincent; son, Ronald Vincent; parents, Jeneus Hebert and the former Editha Broussard; brothers, Edlar Hebert and Nole Hebert; sisters, Regina Hebert Girouard and Mildred H. Trahan; and a son-in-law, Alvin Landry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a roasary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday September 30, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church
Mrs. Vincent was member of the The Lady's Altar Society at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice. She was a past member of the Vermilion Parish Homemakers Club.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation and Community Hospice Care for the loving care they provided for Mrs. Vincent.
