Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Barbara Ann Simon Montet, 76, who died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Louis Richard officiating the services.

She is survived by her three children, Ricky Montet and his wife Shirley of Abbeville, Jodie Montet of Arizona, and Kim Montet of Abbeville; twelve grandchildren, James Montet, Marcus Montet, Trenton Montet, Shalan Harrington, Kaleyn Montet, Cecil Montet, Dusty Knight, Benjamin Sagrera, Elizabeth Duhon, Brentny Hess, Kimberly Montet and Scottie Montet; and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo John Montet; parents, Doris Simon and the former Beulah Buford; brothers, Ray Simon and Joseph Stanley Semond; and sister, Hazel Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
