He is survived by his wife, Fay Trahan Young of Abbeville; four sons, Adrian Joe Young of Abbeville, Brian Dale Young, Kenny Ray Young of Abbeville, and Barry Lee Young of Abbeville; daughters, Betty Marie Young of New Mexico, Dana Young of Abbeville, Terrie Young Melancon, Tanya Baudoin of Abbeville, Rainie Romero of Dallas, and Melanie Netto of Carencro; two sisters, Eve Meaux of Jennings and Betty Fondren of Lake Arthur; brothers, Charlie Young and Wilson Young both of Jennings; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Young and the former Dora Virginia Gary; son, Bobbie Lyle Young; step-son, Donald J. Duhon, Jr.; brothers, William "Bill" Young, John Young, Adam Young, Freddie Young, and Valentine "Richard" Young; and sisters, Judy Kriner, Beatrice Breaux, and Dorothy Foreman.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; Saturday, December 20, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
