Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at a 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Lena Monceaux Whittle, 82, who died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her residence.

Reverend Kenneth Mayne will be officiating the services.

She is survived by her daughter, Liza Whittle; two sons, David Whittle, and Thomas Whittle and his wife Janice; brother, Robert "Golou" Monceaux; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Monceaux and the former Anaise Bertrand; son, Eddie Michael Whittle; and brothers, Ernest Monceaux, Preston Hebert and Ruston Hebert.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
