Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Percy Gaspard, 78, who died Friday, April 3, 2015 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Velma Gaspard of Forked Island; one son, Kendale Gaspard of Abbeville; two daughters, Sherin and her husband, Grady Dumond of Forked Island and Karen Gaspard of Abbeville; one sister, Millie Frith of Kaplan; two brothers, John Flemon Gaspard of Abbeville and Lurcy Gaspard of Cow Island; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marlene Gaspard; one granddaughter, Crystal Brooke Dumond; one great grandson, Kegan Rogas; his parents, Augustave Gaspard and the former Ayita Lege; and four brothers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 10 a.m. until services; with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 a.m.
