Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of John Jaton Campbell, 85, who died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Vermilion Health Care Center.

He will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

He is survived by his sons, Paul Campbell, Darrell Campbell, John Campbell, Nelson Campbell and Donald Campbell; daughters, Maudrey Hendricks, Agnes Campbell and Annette Campbell; grandchildren, Jason Hendricks, Claryssa Campbell, Chad Campbell, Scott Campbell, Jade Campbell, Christina Campbell, Marcus Campbell, Kaylee Campbell, Laurinda Gaspard, Lorenzo Gaspard, Fabian Gaspard, Darrell "D.J." Campbell, Jr., Donald Campbell, Jr., Jarolyn Campbell, James Robertson and Phillip Robertson; brother, Marcus Raleigh Campbell; and sister, Betty Trahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra Paul Campbell and the former Maude Nunez; sons, John Campbell, Jr. and Marcus Campbell; and siblings, Thomas "T.C." Campbell, Nedra Arsement, Opal Ann Istre and Nelson Campbell.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, May 1, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
