Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Catholic Church honoring the life of Norwood Joseph Durr, 86, who died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at Esther Community Cemetery with Reverend Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Eula Gaspard; four sons, Eric Durr of Centerville, TX, Mark Durr of Alvin, TX, Craig Durr of Alvin, TX, and David Durr and his wife, Rhonda of Alvin, TX; six grandchildren, Danny Durr, Demi Durr, Dusty Durr, Chelsea Durr, Nathaniel Durr, and Stephen Durr; and two great grandchildren, Ryatt Durr and Wyatt Durr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Durr and the former Aline Trahan; son, Norwood Durr, Jr.; daughter, Deborah Durr; sisters, Bernice and Rosetta; and brothers, Huey, Herman and Howard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
