Laura Lemaire Abshire

She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Pastor Ben Carter officiating the services.
She is survived by her sons, Herbert Abshire and his wife Carissa of New Iberia, Michael Abshire and his fiancée Darline Broussard of Maurice, and Ronnie Abshire of Guam; two sisters, Bertha Foreman of Cut Off, La. and Lillie Mae Harrington of Kaplan; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Abshire; parents, Joseph Lemaire and the former Clemetine Martin; brothers, Wallace Lemaire, Etude Lemaire and Bayoul Lemaire; sisters, Hazel Mire, Lucille Touchet and Effie Richard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 7, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
