He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula, LA with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Verret; son, Ricky James Verret and his wife Teena; three daughters, Debbie Spinks and her husband James, Charolette Dent and her husband David and Arlene Noble and her partner Frank; brother, Rivis Verret Jr.; two sisters, Beverly Lasseigne and Carolyn Lasseigne; six grandchildren, Brody Doucet, Hailey Whitney, Bryce Verret, Brandon Green, Danielle Dent and Dylan Dent; six great grandchildren, Marlee Patterson, Aubree Patterson, Ayden Patterson, Wyatt Whitney, Luke Whitney and Link Green; and his dog, Lucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rivis Verret Sr. and the former Armite Latiolais; son, Louis Verret and numerous brothers and sister.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m.
