Jill was a graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School, Nichols State University and retired school teacher with the Jefferson Parish School system.
She will be remembered and greatly missed as a gracious gift that the Lord lent to all who knew her. She was an angel on earth. Jill's loving soul is finally in heaven, no longer struggling and finally at peace.
Jill is survived by her loving parents, Jude and Frances Pere; sister, Susan; brother-in-law, David; niece, Catherine; nephew, Michael; and many wonderful family and friends, whom she all loved and all loved her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, H. Frenzel and Josephine Pere; and maternal grandparents, Leo and Yolande Toups.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 300 Pere Megret Street, on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Jill Pere to Vermilion Catholic High School, Athletic Department, 425 Park Ave., Abbeville, LA 70510.
