He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Brian Harringon officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dolores Connor Harrington; son, Randy Harrington; daughter, Deborah Dendy; sisters, Myrtis Harrington and Margaret Kritzer; four grandchildren, Lisa Hughes, Rachel Mabou, Michael Dendy and Timothy Dendy; and three great grandchildren, Alexis Hughes, Zander Abshire and Addison Abshire.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Harrington and the former Orelia Gaspard; daughter, Kathy Harrington Mabou; grandson, Marcus Ryan Mabou; and two brothers, Meldridge Harrington and Lloyd Harrington, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 9 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday December 2, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
