Velta Brasseaux Miguez
March 6, 1936 — January 11, 2016
She will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Deacon Bryon Soley officiating the services.
She is survived by her one sister, Doris Brasseaux of Abbeville; two nephews, Stephen Kuccera and his wife, Linda of Omaha, Nebraska, and Vince Kuccera of Pocatello, Idaho; and niece, Carolyn K. Williams of Pocatello, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Thomas Miguez; parents, Elodias Brasseaux and the former Chole Moss; two sisters, Bernice Brasseaux and Audrey Kuccera; and nephew, Tony Kuccera.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of Vermilion Health Care Center of Nunez for their constant care and concern during her illness. A special thank you to Jenni Lavergne of Amedisys Hospice for all the loving care she showed while caring for Velta. God bless all of you.
