Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2016 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Lona Marie Prejean Broussard, 85, who died Friday, January 22, 2016 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Cormier officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Noah Pontiff, Jacob Broussard, Alex Ard, Brad Guillot, Kelby Stanley, and Carl Pontiff. Honoary pallbearer will be Jerry Mouton.

She is survived by her husband, Manning J. Broussard; son, Thomas Pontiff; daughter-in-law, Debra Pontiff; granddaughters, Keisha Pontiff, Maranda Pontiff and her husband Alex Ard, Erin Pontiff, and Janie B. Guillot and her husband Brad; grandsons, Noah Pontiff, and Jacob Broussard and his wife Brittany; great granddaughter, Brianna Pontiff, and one on the way; great grandson, Luca Broussard; step-son, John H. Broussard; and daughter-in-law, Charlene Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah Prejean and the former Beulah Chauvin; son, Jeffery Pontiff; first husband, Lurby Pontiff; brother, J.C. Prejean; and sisters, Joyce and Louella Mouton.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, January 25, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
