Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Nicholas LeBlanc, Jr., 84, who died Thursday, March 17, 2016.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Louis Richard officiating the services.
Nicholas proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved vacationing in Branson, MO and was an avid carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Rena LeBlanc; two sons, Wayne LeBlanc and Brent LeBlanc; daughter, Karen Sue Ostrick; granddaughters, Erin LeBlanc-Wise, Ashley LeBlanc, Theresa LeBlanc, Camyrn LeBlanc, Russlie Ostrick, Michelle Ostrick Hicks, Destinie LeBlanc and Kelsie LeBlanc; grandson, Riley LeBlanc; great granddaughters, Summer Wise, Adalynn Trahan and Evangeline Hicks; and great grandsons, Trevin Wise, Cody Wise, Aiden Delcambre, Grayson Trahan, Kaleb LeBlanc and Holden LeBlanc..
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rene Joseph LeBlanc and the former Nola Vincent; brother, Minus LeBlanc; and a sister, Jeanette Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
