Elias Joseph Bilski, Sr.

He will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery with Fr. Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services. He is survived by his wife, Verna Mae Stansbury Bilski of Abbeville; sons, Elias Joseph Bilski, Jr. of Abbeville and Robert Bilski of Denham Springs; daughters, Martha Gunter of Lafayette, Bibi Wadsworth of Houston and Beth Marr of Vergennes, VT; sisters, Florence Sicola and Rusty Bilski both of Houston; grandchildren, Christopher Bilski, Amber Gunter, Dylan Dugas, Meghan Bilski, Paul Bilski and Phillip Bilski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ignac and Martha Koteras Bilski; a brother, Clement Bilski; and a sister, Edwina Abbey.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 p.m. The family will reopen on Monday, July 6, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
