Goldie Marie Broussard Bergeron

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jarrod Bergeron, Ryan Bergeron, Jacob Bergeron, Seth Riche’, Jansen Husband, Macade Husband, Hagen Riche’ and Zachary Husband.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years Leo Bergeron; sons, Lonnie Bergeron and his wife Diane of Abbeville, and Randy Bergeron and his wife June of Abbeville; daughters, Cheryl Bergeron of Abbeville, and Marlene Chiasson and her husband Don of Crowley; grandchildren, Tammy Riche', Denise Husband, Kimberly Duhon, Julie C. Duplechain, Lisa C. Breaux, Jarrod Bergeron, Ryan Bergeron and Jacob Bergeron; great grandchildren, Seth Riche', Hagen Riche', Jansen Husband, Macade Husband, Zachary Husband, Addison Husband, Mallory Breaux, Easton Breaux, Ayla Bergeron, Andon Bergeron, Anya Bergeron, Ella Bergeron, Elise Bergeron, Brennan Bergeron and Hudson Bergeron; brothers, Eddie J. Broussard and Sammy Broussard; and sisters, Germaine Sonnier, Mary Granger, Janelle Vice, Sandra Meche, Marilyn Vreeland and Debbie Warner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Opta Broussard and the former Ida Duhon; and sisters, Sally Broussard and Rexine Duhon.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Sunday November 13, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM; Monday November 14, 2016 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
The family wishes to express its appreciation to the doctors and nurses of Hospice of Acadiana and Lafayette General Hospital; especially the nurses with the oncology unit for their care during their mother’s illness. Special thanks to Hollie, Robin, Marcie and JaNee for their kind and compassionate care.
