She was laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Cormier officiating the services. Pallbearers were Lilly Campbell, Tammy Balch, Sue Trahan, Donielle LeBlanc, Krissy Pontiff and Sangel Stelly. Honorary pallbearers were Brock Stelly Jr, Heaven LeBlanc and Ridley J. Gayneaux Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara D. Gayneaux of Henry; son, Jimmy J. Demarcay of Abbeville; twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Romero and the former Cecile Lopez; husband, Lloyd C. Demarcay; son, Leroy P. Demarcay; son-in-law, Ridley J. Gayneaux Sr; great grandson, Brock J. Stelly Sr; great-great granddaughter, Genisis; and siblings.
Special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, Ms. Robin and Eastridge Nursing Home for seven plus years of care; and great granddaughter, Krissy Pontiff, LPN for the special attention.
