Kaplan — Memorial services will be held at a later date honoring the life of Whitney Joseph Romero, Jr., 70 years old, who passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Romero of Nunez; three sons, Whitney Romero, III and his wife, Monique of Youngsville, Jared Romero of Nunez, and Craig Romero and his wife, My Trinh of Nunez; one daughter, Marica Romero of Houston, TX; three sisters, Deloris Derouen of Abbeville, Joann Hebert of Mulvey, and Wilda Fontenot of Abbeville; one brother, Willis John Romero of Meaux; one sister-in-law, Deanna Broussard of Gueydan; 9 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney Romero, Sr. and the former Euphemie LeBouf; his paternal grandfather, Julian Romero, his paternal grandmother, Irene Primeaux; his in-laws, Laura and Preston J. Broussard, Sr.; his brother-in-law, Preston J. Broussard, Jr.; and one nephew, Preston Broussard, III.
