Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Faith Christian Church honoring the life of Betty Ann Romero LeBlanc, 74 years, who died Monday, February 20, 2017 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Garland LeBlanc, Ricky Bales, Jr., Todd Lobell, Jr., Chris Abshire, Ivy Poirier, and Matt Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Sellers and Richard Bourque III.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Chester L. LeBlanc of Kaplan; two sons, Craig A. LeBlanc and his wife, Deborah of Forked Island and Jason A. LeBlanc and his wife, Velma of Kaplan; one daughter, Ginger and her husband, Mark Thiesen of Vancouver, WA; eleven grandchildren, Erik Thiesen, Dana Thiesen, Keesha Broussard Suggs, Richard Bales, Jr., Cameron Bales, Lindsey Lobell, Todd Lobell, Jr., Tabrille LeBlanc, Garland LeBlanc, Austin LeBlanc, and Mariana LeBlanc; nine great grandchildren, Alyia Broussard, Kylie Suggs, Beau Lobell, Cavin Lobell, Georgie Lobell, Liam Hollis, Savannah Bales, Bentley LeBlanc, and David Thomas Bales; two sisters, Annie Sellers of Abbeville and Dorothy Meaux of Milton; and three brothers, Dudley Romero, Jr. of Abbeville, Warren "Buck" Romero of Abbeville, and Kenneth Ray Romero of Galiano.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terry Ann Lobell; one grandchild, Thomas "Clint" Bales; her parents, Dudley Joseph Romero and the former Nona Touchet; one sister, Susan Gail Romero; and one brother, Johnny Romero.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Faith Christian Church (128 Cantey Ave., Kaplan, LA) on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM until services.
