Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Jessie Lee Bourque, 81, who died Monday, March 27, 2017 at Lafayette General Southwest. He will be laid to rest at St. David Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Leger, Jacob Leger, Marcus Gaspard, Zachary Gaspard, Kelly Bourque, and Clay Stanley. Honorary pallbearer will be Randall Bourque.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Leannie LeMaire Bourque; one son, Randall Bourque of Kaplan; three daughters, Nancy Bourque Leger and her husband, Todd of Kaplan, Diana Bourque Hebert of Jennings, and Janice Bourque Gaspard and her husband, Marcus of Abbeville; two sisters, Earline Bourque Dominque and her husband, Alvin of Lafayette and Jane Bourque Bufford of TX; and four grandchildren, Sydney Hebert, Zachary Gaspard, Anne-Marie Hebert, and Jacob Leger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Bourque and the former Ozette Broussard; one son, Roger Bourque; one sister, Ethel Romero; and two brothers, Andy Bourque and Daly Bourque.

The family would like to thank Kaplan Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital, Gueydan Memorial Guest Home, and Lafayette General Southwest Regional for the loving care and compassion given to their father.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 8:00 AM until services.
