A memorial service officiated by Deacon William Vincent will be held at 9:00 AM, Sunday, May 17, 2026, at St. Paul Cemetery honoring the life of Anna Mae Trahan Broussard, 86, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at her residence. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to honor Anna's memory as they celebrate her life and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
Anna was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in creating a warm and nurturing environment for her loved ones. She found joy in praying the rosary and had a particular fondness for detective shows on television that brought her joy and entertainment.
She is survived by her son, Chris J. Broussard; daughter, Lisa B. Doucet and her husband, Dexter; daughters-in-law, Lucinda F. Broussard and Christine M. Broussard; grandchildren, Heather B. Fruge, Travis J. Broussard, Marcus J. Doucet, and Erin K. Broussard; great-grandchildren, Christian Foret, Cahli Broussard, and Myles Broussard; numerous nieces and nephews; and siblings, Diana T. Broussard, James Trahan, Shelly Trahan and Anthony Trahan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Dale Broussard; sons, David Broussard and Brian Broussard; parents, Clarence Trahan and the former Gladys Comeaux; siblings, Deborah Delcambre, Freda Jones, Cindy Laviolette, Charles "Buddy" Trahan, Glen Trahan, Ronald Trahan, Richard Trahan, Theresa Trahan, Brent Trahan, and Randy Trahan.
Anna's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Lamm Hospice for the compassion and kindness they provided during her final days, especially to her nurse, April, who brightened her moments with warmth and care. A special acknowledgement is extended to her caregiver, Rashunda Baudoin, whose patience and kindness came into their lives at just the right time, offering comfort and support to Anna.
Anna Mae Trahan Broussard will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. May she rest in peace.
