Private funeral services honoring the life of Bertha Landry Lormand, 80, were held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville, Louisiana. Deacon Keith Duhon officiated. Bertha passed away on August 14, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center and was laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Kaplan.

Bertha retired from Riviana Foods in Abbeville after a remarkable 47-year career. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jared, and especially cherished their trips to New Orleans and Las Vegas. Bertha was truly the life of the party, bringing warmth, laughter, and joy wherever she went. She had a wonderful way of making everyone around her feel special, and her joyful spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her grandchildren held an especially dear place in her heart and were a tremendous source of pride and happiness throughout her life. Bertha will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband, Jared Lormand; her children, Jeremy Cormier and Angela Cormier; step-children, Sloane Lormand Guidry (Dustin), and Spencer Lormand (Melvin); her grandchildren, Ava Cormier, Victoria Cormier, Aaron Broussard, Whitney Cormier, Ashton Cormier (Neveah Carpenter), and Carly Thibodeaux (Tom Gilliland); stepgrandchildren, Evangelene "Evie" Guidry, Graham Guidry, and Cecile "CeCe" Guidry; great grandchildren, Hayden Martin, Braxx Collins, and Milo Cormier; and her cousin, Mona Perry Viator (Lester).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vick and Roberta (Perry) Landry; sister, Margaret Broussard (Vernon); brother, Lester Paul Landry; and a grandson, Nathaniel Cormier.
