Betty Suire Guidry

Funeral Services officiated by Deacon Bryan Istre will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Betty Suire Guidry, 73, who passed away on December 19, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM. The visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery.

Betty was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the kindest person and to know her was to know love, she loved everyone.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wilfred "Wishbone" Guidry, Jr. of Kaplan; three sons, Danny "Boy" Guidry of Kaplan, Anthony Guidry and his wife, Evelyn of Kaplan, and Steven Guidry and his wife, Alex of Broussard; five daughters, Annette Harrington of Franklin, Priscilla Beck of Kaplan, Barbara and her husband, David Trahan of Kaplan, Jackie and her husband, Ronnie Daigle of Kaplan, and Christina Bengtson of Kaplan; one brother, Wilfred Suire of Rayne; two sisters, Lucille Suire of Lake Arthur and Mary Suire of Crowley; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey Guidry; one son Wilfred Joseph "Boo" Guidry III; her parents, Delma Paul Suire and the former Adia Bourque; three sisters, Ruby Nunez, Hilda Miller, and Lucy Faulk; three brothers, Freddie Suire, Obra Suire, and Wilson Suire; one granddaughter, Cherise Harrington; one great grandson, Zeus Dean Guidry; and one son-in-law, Douglas Beck.
