Betty Campbell Touchet

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Suresh Mathangi will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2026 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Betty Campbell Touchet, 84, who passed away on January 12, 2026 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery.

A celebration of life will take place at St. Anne Catholic Church on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM. Betty grew up with a passion for sports, earning a spot on her high school basketball team and later shining as a shortstop on a local softball league. Those who knew Betty will remember her as a truly kind-hearted soul, whose unwavering faith inspired everyone around her. She had a way of making anyone feel special, whether through her gentle words or through the delicious meals and baked goods she loved to prepare in her kitchen.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Lercy Touchet of Kaplan; her grandson, Kristopher Suire of Kaplan; two sisters, Judy Campbell Christiansen of Ocean Springs, MS and Connie Campbell Horton of Lafayette; and one brother, Gale Campbell and his wife, Sheila of Lafayette.

Our sweet Betty will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Brent Suire, Allen Suire, and George Suire; one grandson, Blaine Suire; four siblings, Alverta Campbell, Garland Campbell, Kermit Campbell, and Janus Campbell; and her parents, Evans Campbell and the former Avia Harrington.
