ABBEVILLE - Bonnie Ann Richard, a lifelong resident of Abbeville, passed away peacefully at her home on June 23, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on February 13, 1953, in Abbeville, Louisiana, where she spent her entire life surrounded by family and friends.

Bonnie was the daughter of Bernard Sylvester Richard and Isabel Broussard, both of whom preceded her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Bernard L. Richard, who survives her.

Throughout her life, Bonnie dedicated herself to her family as a homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a warm and loving environment for her loved ones.

A memorial graveside service for Bonnie will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Center Foundation in memory of Bonnie Ann Richard.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Amedysis Hospice nurses and caregivers, Theresa, Tilly, and Erika, for their compassionate care during Bonnie’s final days.

Bonnie will be deeply missed, but her warm heart and loving spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
