It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Braxton “Bubbie” Savant, age 21, of Meaux, Louisiana, who passed away on June 21, 2026. Braxton was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He found true joy in the outdoors and lived for the simple moments it brought. He could often be found working on his trucks and ATVs-something he was deeply passionate about and took great pride in. He was happiest with his hands busy. Known to many as “Bubbie”, Braxton will be remembered for his kind and selfless heart, his devotion to family and friends, and the joy he brought to those around him. He was loving, gentle, and truly did not have a mean bone in his body. His warmth and sincerity touched everyone he met, leaving lasting memories with all who knew him. Braxton was the person who showed up without hesitation, there for anyone - no questions asked. His loyalty, generosity, and willingness to put others before himself will never be forgotten. Braxton's life, though far too short, was filled with meaningful relationships and lasting memories. He shared a special bond with those closest to him and will be remembered for the love, laughter, and friendship he gave so freely. He is survived by his mother, Nina Savant; his fiancée, Vyktoria Breaux; his maternal grandparents, Tony and Connie Savant; his godfather, Cade "Boobie" Savant and wife, Elizabeth, and their children, Aubrey, Cooper, and Olivia; his uncle, Kyle Savant and wife, Kelly, and their children, Ainsley and Brynlee; his godmother, Stephanie Landry; his half-siblings, Zayne (Paige) Landry and their daughter, Rivvy Landry, Zoe Landry, Miranda Boudreau, and Cassidy Landry; as well as numerous extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will cherish his memory forever. He is preceded in death by his beloved Melanie Broussard. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, support, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 1:30 PM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, located at 300 Pere Megret St., Abbeville. Father Donald Bernard will officiate the services. Following the Mass, burial will occur at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Cade Savant, Kyle Savant, Reed Baudoin, Brock Reboul, Zayne Landry, and Jace Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Evan Deshotels, Josh Savant, Aaron Savant, Laken Aubrey, Brycin Hebert, Trey Hoover, Cole Baudoin, Bernard Breaux, Dylan Primeaux, Barnes Williamson, Gunner Gremillion, Cayden Long, along with his coworkers, classmates, and teammates. Prior to the Mass, visitation will be held at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, located at 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM, followed by a eulogy and dedicated music to honor Braxton's memory. The funeral home will open on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 8:00 AM, allowing for final tributes and reflections before the procession departs for the church at 1:15 PM. Though he is no longer with us, Braxton's spirit will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
