Calvin Ray Abshire

ABBEVILLE- A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville honoring the life of Calvin Ray Abshire, 73, who passed away on November 15, 2024 at Maison du Monde.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Deacon William Vincent will officiate the memorial service. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Donna Bourque Abshire; two sons, Shawn Broussard and wife, CeCe of Katy, TX, and Brett Doucet and wife, Elizabeth, of Ville Platte, LA; daughter, Tara Broussard of Maurice; two brothers, Ronnie Daigle, and Jr. Prejean; one sister, Debbie Daigle; five grandchildren, Gaige Barrilleaux, Anna Barrilleaux, Ellie Doucet, Millie Doucet, and Baylor Doucet.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lovenia Abshire Daigle; and stepfather, Curley Daigle.
