It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Cheryl Marceaux, who passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by her children.
Cheryl was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a homemaker and natural, valued caregiver who always wanted to make sure everyone around her was taken care of. If you were around Cheryl, she was going to check on you, feed you, help you, or make sure you had what you needed.
She was known for her humor, strong will, tenacity, and ability to speak her mind. She loved to laugh, tell stories, and keep people on their toes. She also had a soft heart and a deep love for her family, friends, her beloved dog Toto, and her rose gardens.
Her faith was in Jesus Christ, and we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
She is survived by her children, Crystal Baez (Javier), Tammy Carter, Angela White (Destin), and Jamie Marceaux; her brother, Lloyd Landry Jr.; five grandchildren, Zachary Hargrave, Emily Hargrave, Dalton Marceaux, Ava Marceaux, and Evan Baez, who all loved her dearly; one great-grandson, Carson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Johnathan; her parents, Lloyd and Nellie Landry; her husband, Roland Marceaux; and her brother, Ronald Landry.
The family would like to thank the many family members, friends, churches, and prayer warriors who faithfully lifted Cheryl and our family in prayer. Your love, support, and prayers will never be forgotten.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Lourdes nursing staff and the nurses of AMG, especially Sydney, Shontel, Zach, private caregiver Ms. Vickie Castille, and the many others who provided extraordinary care, compassion, and support.
Funeral services officiated by Reverend Keith Landry will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 8:30 AM until 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
We invite all who knew Cheryl to join us in honoring her life. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Cheryl Marceaux to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Hospice of Acadiana or your local church.
All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (337) 643-7276.
