Cleveland Mire

ABBEVILLE - Funeral services officiated by Pastor Chris Theall and Pastor Layne Payne will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 5, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home, honoring the life of Cleveland Mire, 76, who passed away on December 30, 2025, at his residence. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jude Mire, Kelly Mire, Chris Mire, Matthew Mire, Aaron Mire and Nicholas Mire.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

He is survived by his loving wife, of thirty three years Mary Sanders Mire; his sons, Jude Mire and his wife Barbara; Kelly Mire and his wife Aimia; Chris Mire and his wife Melissa; his grandchildren, Aaron, Mire, Matthew Mire, Nicholas Mire, Kathryn Mire, Ellie Mire and Alix Mire, his great grandson Lincoln Mire. Step sons, Wade Cessac; Carrol Cessac; his step daughter, Hope Sanders; step granddaughter, Angela DeRouen; step grandson, Carrol Cessac, Jr.; and two step great grandchildren, Emma and Abel Cessac.

Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Mire and Jeanne Trahan Mire; brother Francis Gerald Mire; one infant sister and infant brother.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of NSI Hospice for the care they gave Cleveland.
