Darrel O. Menard

Erath-Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026 for Darrel O. Menard, 56, who passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Erath, LA. Services will be held at Family Life Church Abbeville, 2150 Charity St., Abbeville, LA, and officiated by Pastor Dick L. Menard and Pastor Todd D. Menard. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2026, until the time of the service at 1:00 PM with a reception immediately following.

Darrel was born on December 16, 1969, in Erath, LA. Darrel worked offshore as a production operator for many years and received many awards. He loved to do carpentry work, fish, mechanic and electronic work. He could fix almost everything.

Darrel is survived by his fiancé Becky Hargrave, surviving spouse Angela M. Menard; his son, Trey Ophie Menard; his daughters, Jenee’ Elizabeth Robino (Ronnie); and Kylie Marie Dronet (Damon); his stepson, Colby D. Arceneaux, his step-daughter, Tiffany M. Arceneaux, his four brothers, Larry James Menard (Lenora); Curt Allen Menard, Pastor Dick Lane Menard (Carla); and Pastor Todd David Menard (Tonya). His brother-in-law, David Moreland. Darrel is survived by his grandchildren; Day’vion Dronet, unborn baby Dronet, Bragen Angelle, Brooklynn Angelle, Brylee Angelle, Harley Angelle, Landon Angelle, Lillian-Grace Marie Menard, his step grandchildren Drei Hebert, Bralyn Hebert and his step-grandchildren Jayla Hebert, Kaleigh Arceneaux.

Darrel is preceded in death by his parents, Doris Leon “D.L.” Menard and Lou Ella Abshire Menard; his brother, Boze Menard; his sister, Becky M. Moreland and his sister-in-law Arlene Menard.

The family would like to thank the Nurses and Doctor’s of Lamm Hospice for the care they gave Darrel. Also his fiancée Becky Hargrave who cared for him non-stop. His childhood best friend Danny Dore for all his years of friendship.
