Debra Kibodeaux Broussard

ABBEVILLE - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debra Ann Kibodeaux Broussard, who left us on January 9, 2026, at the age of 71. Debra was born on October 22, 1954, in Crowley, Louisiana, and raised her family in Abbeville, where she created a warm and loving home as a dedicated homemaker.

A celebration of life honoring Debra’s memory will be held at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life at this time.

Debra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for cooking, especially during family birthday parties, brought joy to everyone around her. She had a special place in her heart for country music, particularly the tunes of Blake Shelton, and enjoyed traveling with her family.

Debra is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Carl Wayne Broussard. She was a proud mother to Jason Broussard and his wife, Keesha, and to her daughter Angie Broussard. Debra cherished her role as a grandmother to Blake Bodin, Lane Bodin, Gage Broussard, Lexie Broussard, Kelsie Broussard, Jenna Bodin, and Kaylie Martin, as well as a great-grandmother to Dawson Bodin, Laynie Bodin, Aubrey Bodin, Remi Bodin, Lucien Wunder, Eloise Broussard, and Leland Bodin. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Cheryl Richardson and Linda Kibodeaux, whom she lovingly cared for throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Kibodeaux and the late Venita Spell. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue in the hearts of her family.
