Donald Dane Abshire

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Ted Broussard will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Donald Dane Abshire, 80, who passed away on May 15, 2025.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rowena C. Abshire; one son, Jason Abshire (Tammy); four daughters, Lisa Holley (Barry), Christina Abshire (Larry), Candace Romero (Kirk) and Emella Dronet (Stewart); 12 grandchildren, Renee' Abshire (Blake), Matthew Hebert (Katherine), Doug Hebert (Haley), Robyn Dartez (Tristan), Peggy Bourque (Cole), Dane Abshire (Payton), Skye St. Germaine (John), Sydney Broussard (Kaine), Alizabeth Romero, Kirklynne Romero, Timothy Romero and Filly Dean Dronet; 14 great grandchildren, Kase, Dax, Noah, Jordan, Harper, Kallie, AnnMarie, River, Nellie, Knox, D.J., Asher, Maverick and Kalloway; and his two brothers, Lonnie Abshire (MayDora) and Todd Abshire (Diana).

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Avery and Theresa Abshire; his sister, Ramona Mouton.
