ABBEVILLE - Funeral services officiated by Pastor Jeremy Cupp will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home – Abbeville, honoring the life of Elaine O'Bryan Trahan, 84, who passed away on March 9, 2026, at The Calcutta House of Lafayette. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Elaine, a lifelong resident of Abbeville, Louisiana, was born on September 17, 1941, in the same town where she dedicated her life to family and community. She was an active member of the Charity Baptist Church in Abbeville, where her faith and kindness touched the lives of many. Elaine served the community as a valued employee of the Vermilion Parish Health Unit, where she worked with compassion and commitment. She is survived by her son, Byron K. Trahan, and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Katie Trahan, Amber Trahan, Jessica Cash, Josh Isley, and Sarah Isley; and great-grandchildren, Adalynn Cash and Elaina Cash; sister, Carlene Lemaire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lee Trahan; father, Marshall O’Bryan; mother, Agnes Rogers O’Bryan; brother, Daniel O’Bryan; and sister, Peggy Gayneaux.
