Elijah "E.J." Sabastian Benoit

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Troy Duhon will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan honoring the life of Elijah "E.J. Sabastian Benoit, 14, who passed away on January 11, 2026, at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Gabe Benoit, Charles "Ben" Benoit, Lexie Guillory, Charles Benoit III, Laiken Jones, and Jason Bruce. Honorary pallbearers will be Tristynn Benoit, Wade Theriot, Todd Cradeur, Korin Dubois, and Mario Ledezma.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. 

He is survived by his father, Joseph Charles Benoit "Chuck" of Gueydan; his mother, Brittney Touchet of Gueydan; his maternal grandparents, Wendy and Chad Langlinais; his grandfather, Timothy Paul Touchet (Merline); his four brothers, Jerimah Benoit of Minnesota, Charles Ayo Benoit "Ben" of Gueydan, Gabe Anthony Benoit of Gueydan, and Tristynn Xavier Benoit of Gueydan; his nanny, Amy Marie Benoit of Meaux; his cousins, Wynter Dawn Hanks Mathews of Lafayette, Jaron Gase Hanks of Meaux, Joellei Anna Benoit Ledezma of Oakdale, Korin Paul Dubois of Meaux, and Zaysea Jnae Dubois of Meaux.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Charles Benoit Jr. "Charlie" and Katherine Ann Fruge Benoit "Katie".
