Indian Bayou—Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Indian Bayou United Methodist Church honoring the life of Estelle “Pat” Semons Morgan, 79, who died Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery with Reverend Herman Holland officiating the services.
“Pat” was a longtime resident of Kaplan, Louisiana. She has now rejoined her late husband, Larry Gene Morgan, Sr., in their heavenly home.
She is survived by her four children, Eva Morgan Fedeli, Larry “Bubby” Gene Morgan, Jr., Donna Morgan Kelly and her husband, Donald and Michelle Morgan Dykes and her husband, Jeffery; her brothers, William Semons and Jimmy Semons; and her sister, Thelma Foreman. She was called MawMaw by her 11 grandchildren, Willie Coxe, Adam Kennedy, Tony Morgan, Erick Kennedy, Brooke Landry, Brandon Morgan, James Kelly, Sara Dykes, Martha Dykes, Travis Dykes and Brianna Morgan and she was known as GG to her three great grandchildren, Destiny Coxe, Rachael Coxe and Reid Landry.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Lee Semons; her mother, Estelle Ayres Semons; her sisters, Carol Wilson and Nancy Frederick; and her grandsons, Michael Lee Morgan and Jeffery Matthew Dykes.
The family would like to thank Frank Fedeli for his love, kindness and generosity given to their mother over the years. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Indian Bayou United Methodist Church, 1029 La Highway 700, on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:30 AM.
