Obituary

Abbeville- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Dale Vincent, who left us peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 78 at Ochsner Lafayette General hospital. Glen was born on August 7, 1947, in Abbeville, Louisiana, where he spent his entire life.

He dedicated over 25 years of his life as a custodian at the Vermilion Parish Court House, a role he approached with pride and dedication.

Glen was not just known for his hard work but also for his big heart. He loved fishing, building model boats, and creating crafts from wooden sticks. One of his greatest joys was taking long drives in his beloved Camaro. He cherished the time spent with family and friends, always eager to lend a hand on any project that came up.

Glen will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda Vincent Frederick, and her husband, John "Johnny," of Leroy. He leaves behind a loving nephew, Christopher Frederick of Abbeville; a wonderful niece, Amanda Frederick Marsh, and her husband, Shannon, of Leroy; as well as great-nephews Jace, Cale, Bryce, and Blake Baldridge, along with great-niece Olivia Marsh.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Paul Vincent and the former Hazel Marie Mallet.

Funeral services officiated by Deacon William "Bill" Vincent will be held at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville on Monday, June 16, 2026, beginning with a rosary prayed at 2:00 PM with service to immediately follow.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Vincent Funeral Home Monday, June 15, 2026 from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Glen will then be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery.

His pallbearers will include Johnny, Christopher, Jace, Cale, Bryce, and Blake, who will honor him in this final journey.

Glen's warmth, laughter, and generous spirit will live on in our memories. Rest in peace, dear friend.
