Guy "Pat" McCanlies

Kaplan- A Funeral Service officiated by Reverend Nancy Wofford will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Kaplan United Methodist Church honoring the life of Guy "Pat" McCanlies, 81, who passed away on July 23, 2025, at his residence. 

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 1:45 PM when the procession will depart for the church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty McCanlies of Kaplan; one son, Cedric Richard and his wife, Shauna of Kaplan; one daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Mockey Terry of Kaplan; one sister, Julie White of Krugerville, TX; and four grandchildren, Gabbi Terry, Philip Terry III, Cullen Richard and Reagan Richard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Bob McCanlies and the former Flora Bacon; one brother, John McCanlies and a nephew, Johnny McCanlies.
