It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Iva Lee Hobbs, who left us peacefully on October 22, 2026, at the age of 68.

A passionate gardener, Iva Lee had a special love for tulips and found peace in the beauty of her flowers. In her spare time, she enjoyed the challenge of a good jigsaw puzzle. She was loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her four children, Crystal Lynn Cantu and her husband, Ernie of Bay City, TX, Jason Ray Tumlinson and his wife, Jamelle Dawn of Ventress, LA, Wendy Hobbs of Port Allen, and Ali Demette of Kaplan; 13 grandchildren, Hailey, Hannah, Alisa, Kaden, Seth, Teagin, Noah, Kyleigh, Ashton, Derrick, Oliver, Amelia, and Margo; and one brother, Roy Abbott, Sr. and his wife, Cricket of Marksville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hobbs, three brothers, Guy Abbott, Dale Kemf, and Ray Abbott; and her parents, Kenneth Harold Abbott and the former Cora Yarborough.
