Abbeville- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Keith Frederick, known to many as "Keith," who left us on September 1, 2026, at the age of 68.

Born on July 21, 1958, in Erath, Louisiana, Keith spent his life in the community he loved, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew him. Keith was an accountant by trade, working in the retail industry and earning his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He was proud of his education and applied his knowledge to help others throughout his career.

Above all, Keith was a devoted father to his beloved children, daughter Nicole Hebert (Cody) and son Jonathan Frederick. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Mary Eileen Armond (Billy) and Patty Frederick, and his former wife, Annette Frederick. Keith cherished his family deeply, including his nieces Elizabeth Aymond (Justin) and Danielle Montagne (Ricky Touchet), nephews Billy Armond, Jr. (Shayna) and Dr. Cody Armond (Kate), and his two great-nieces, Ainslee Touchet and Stella Aymond.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William Billy Frederick and Gladys Trahan.

Keith had a vibrant personality and a passion for music. Whether playing in a band or delving into the fascinating stories of music history, he brought joy and rhythm into his life and the lives of those around him.

A Memorial service officiated by Deacon Timothy Marcantel, will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Keith's life, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Keith will be missed dearly, but his legacy of love and laughter will forever resonate in our lives.
