Janell Cessac Bruno, 79, of Mouton Cove, made her home a true sanctuary. She was a gifted homemaker with a natural eye for beauty, creating spaces, both indoors and out, that felt warm, welcoming, and uniquely her own.

She had impeccable taste in music and loved to dance; wherever she went, music followed. That love for music and her creativity provided Abbeville with a unique, fun hangout called “My Favorite Place" where the town would gather, local bands would play and many great memories were made.

Janell's love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was immeasurable. Though she faced many hardships, she always managed to get through another day. She leaves behind many loved ones and a family she inspired through her strength and perseverance. Her courage will always be remembered, her comforting nature will be felt through music, and she will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by her son, Stacy Landry and daughter in law, Angie of Mouton Cove; daughter, Tonya Landry Hebert and son in law, Jody of Maurice; 9 grandchildren, Joshua Landry, Mandy Landry Clark (Timmy), Brice Landry (Jeane), Brandt Marceaux, Maddison Hebert, Garrett Marceaux, Mackenzie Hebert, Grace Landry, and Mae Jillian Hebert; 7 great grandchildren, Ashton, Chloe, Anna, Alex, Kai, Evelyn, and Miles; and sister, Loretta Guidry.

She was preceded in death by her father, Murphy Cessac; mother, Isamae Bonnie Cessac; son, Gregory James Landry; daughter, Shreen Marie Landry; Late Husbands, Raymond Landry, Archie Douglas and Robert Bruno; and sister, Manetta Guidry.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Corina "Kay" Romero, a dear friend of hers, who spent much time with her doing what she loved doing, nurturing her home.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana. We will be forever grateful for their compassion and care in her final days.

All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville (337) 893-4661.
